Nadharia Kenya is committed to creating diversity and inclusion in sports through the Nadharia City Stars program. Recognizing the discrimination faced by trans and masc-of-center soccer players in the soccer world, Nadharia launched this program in 2020 to nurture talent and organize inclusive soccer tournaments. In 2021, we hosted our first queer tournament featuring eight teams from Nairobi, setting a precedent for inclusive sports events.

Our advocacy extends beyond the pitch. In 2021, we participated in a tournament in Machakos County, promoting climate action with the “kicking fossils out of Kenya” initiative. The Nadharia City Stars have engaged in cross-learning opportunities by playing with teams like M-Pesa Foundation Academy and Jameconnect. This year, we proudly hosted the IDAHOBIT celebration in partnership with various organizations in the western region.

The Nadharia City Stars excel in both futsal and 11-a-side soccer, using sports as a platform for social change. Our goal is to inspire and influence both locally and internationally, connecting with global teams to promote diversity and inclusion in sports.
